I thought for sure that I would be overwhelmed, but for some reason I am not feeling that way! I know that in the Fall we expressed interest in learning web 2.0 tools. I had no idea there were so many out there, nor did I realize that we were already using many of them without evening knowing it! Skype is a fabulous tool that I thought could only be used for messaging. Boy did i realize that wasn't the only use for it over the last 2 days! Links can be sent, video chats can be held, audio can be heard; just amazing! And the ways we learned how it can be used in the classroom really peaked my interest!
I know that people want to be taught how to use these tools, but I much rather play or investigate them myself. I do like to be shown little hints or ways in which things can be done more quickly such as the brackets being used in wiki to add a link and page for a person. I really look forward to learning more tools and maybe somemore helpful hints as to how to use them in my classroom (K/1 learning support).
