Homework
As I am trudging through the homework, I am realizing the potential of a lot new things that I am learning about. I can't really say that I am loving all of it but I can say that I do see the value in most of the assignments. The book has a lot of great information and I took away a lot from it. I have my igoogle homepage set up and I have the Diigo bookmarks sent to that. I am surprised at how often I actually intrigued by the headings. I am glad that I have it set up on my homepage because I know that I would never log into Diigo and check it.

I feel the same way. As I trudged through the homework, I also couldn't believe how much i am learning about. I love the iGoogle homepage; everything is on there that I need. Very cool. I also really like tweet deck, all the little notices pop up; I don't have to check anything. I'm still not too sure about Diigo. I like how it's on the top, because I don't think I would actually go to the page to check out things.
ReplyDeleteNo, Diigo isn't something you 'check.' Like the bookmarks/Favorites on your laptop, you don't check those. It's just a place to store links that you feel will help you down the road somewhere. It's just now you can tag them to organize them, and you can share them with students and they can share with you, just as we've been sharing bookmarks with you via Diigo. You can choose to receive email notices about what folks have been posting, or, as you've done, set it up in an aggregator.
ReplyDeleteBut, think about what this does for students who can now share what they find - and DISCUSS what they find.
