Google Earth

I have been working with Google Earth for a few days now and I just want to say how frustrated I am with it. I think it is an awesome tool BUT for some reason I can not get it to work properly. I love the idea of making a tour and sharing it with students for a lesson or perhaps even having them make one of their own. With that said, I am pretty sure I will never use it after this class because of the issues that I am having. I know that is very sad to say but I have put hours of work into this little 5 stop tour and recorded and recorded and recorded and STILL can't get it to work properly. I just don't think it is worth my time at this point. Maybe once I step away from it for awhile and go back to it when I am not so frustrated I will like it better.

  1. Stepping away is a good tactic. I use that one often. However, with Google Earth and the tour recording, I quit trying. I usually give it a couple of tries and then step away and then give it a couple more. Then I search the web (google, twitter, other networks) to check if others have the same issue. That's a benefit of a PLN - keeping your sanity at times!
