Final Project

As I work through the assignments for Day 4, I am feeling less overwhelmed as I chip away at them. I am now starting to think about the final project. I still can't decide what to do especially as I read the instructions. I will need to discuss this project more in class to get some things clarified before I make my final decision. I am confused about the lesson plan part because lesson plans differ so much from school to school. Do we use our school's format or one specifically for this class? For now, I will wait to start this until class is back in session in August.

  1. I agree, after getting through most of the assignments, I feel less overwhelmed. A lot less overwhelmed than I felt when we had our first two classes!! I am also confused on the lesson plans parts. Will we be given a set one to use or just use what we are used to as long as they have key parts?

  2. I can't tell you how glad I am to hear you both say that you're feeling less overwhelmed. Very good news. Just remember, just because you see a tool doesn't mean that it's right for your students. Think about your educational goals for the lessons, and then think back to the tools to see which one does the best job.

  3. I have a lesson plan or two to share, but I'd suspect that each person's will be in a format that their district prefers. ISTE has a template on the implementation wiki (http://nets-implementation.iste.wikispaces.net/Lesson+Plan+Templates). I have used it before, but parts are confusing. It's mainly important to include the technology in the lesson plan. What ends up happening is during the planning, it becomes clear that the technology doesn't need it's own area. It fits in all over the place!
