I think my kids are going to love using this web tool! My kids love facebook so why not use Edmodo for the classroom. I also download Edmodo to my iPhone!
I agree they will really like Edmodo. I bet you'll find many uses for as you use it more and more. The polls are good for checking for understanding and also as a pre-assessment. You can embed code in there too, so Animoto videos can show up right in the stream!

My students found Edmodo enjoyable and motivational last year although we didn't start using it until the last semester.
