Well, Melissa and have started working with KidBlog with our students. Our plan is to have students communicate with each other and with us about what they have learned about bus safety and eventually safety in general (bike safety, stranger safety, etc.). While teaching the unit, the students use Kid Blog to share what they have learned and at the end of the unit the students will make a culminating project. For my class, the students are going to be making posters using ideas that came from Kid Blog. The posters will basically be advertisements for how to be safe in certain situations.
So far, the use of Kid Blog is going great, slow for my class, but still great. I definitely think this is a useful tool and will continue to use it in the future!
